Note:
Prep students will not be required to attend on Wednesdays in the weeks of, February 2nd – February 27th (4 Wednesdays).  However, parents will be asked to accompany their child, when requested, to school to meet with the class teacher for the undertaking of assessment tasks as outlined in the Prep Entry Assessment Program.  This will only be for a maximum of 45 minutes and is an ideal opportunity for parent, teacher and child to get to know each other and to determine the needs of the child for program planning for the future.

PROCEDURES AND ARRANGEMENTS

• Please accompany your child to the classroom to meet your child’s teacher.
• Please leave the classroom as soon as your child is settled.
• Children will be shown their own named peg for hanging bags, coats etc. after parents have left.
• Your child will then be invited to explore and become familiar with their new room, furniture, equipment, materials etc. They will be encouraged to renew and make friendships with other children and to share activities together.
• Please feel free to share a cup of tea or coffee with other parents in the staffroom.
