MILLWARRA MINI BUS
Millwarra Primary School operates its own School Mini Bus travelling between Millgrove and Warburton East before school and after school. Cost 50¢ each way. Please contact the school for more details.

Millgrove:
Bus travel is available in Millgrove. Contact Martyrs Bus Service for information on bus routes, stops, timetable and costs involved.

Warburton East:
Two school buses service the school daily, picking up children from various parts of the valley. They arrive at school around 8.20 am. each morning and pick up children at 3.25pm each afternoon. If you require bus travel for your children this can be arranged by contacting the bus co-ordinator at the Upper Yarra Secondary College in Yarra Junction on phone no. 5967 1877. The co-ordinator is responsible for co-ordinating all school bus travel in the Upper Yarra Valley. The only people eligible to travel on the school bus are those who live 4.8km. or more from the nearest school.

If a parent has nominated their child to go on the bus the child will be placed on the bus unless parental contact is made by note or phone to inform the school otherwise.
This is to avoid any unnecessary anxiety.

Parents need to establish a routine for bus travel to avoid unnecessary distress about transport arrangements.

DISMISSAL
Please ensure that your child knows that you intend to collect him/her and understands they must stay with the teacher until you arrive. Try to eliminate unnecessary anxiety by arriving promptly and please telephone the school if an emergency upsets these arrangements.

It is very important that your child is collected by a parent or a person known by the Principal or Assistant Principal to represent the parents. Please inform your child’s teacher and your child who will be collecting him/her. The school must be notified in writing or by telephone in advance if a person other than a parent is collecting your child.

EARLY DISMISSAL / LATE ARRIVAL
If an occasion occurs when you want to pick up your child earlier than normal time, you are required to notify the Class teacher. Phone, send a note or visit the school office to notify the school of your intention.

VISITING / COLLECTING CHILDREN DURING SCHOOL HOURS
If visiting or collecting children from school during school hours, please go to the office FIRST to obtain a visitors badge or to complete the Sign Out book.
